Bon Odori

Every country has their own traditional dance. In my case, it called "Bon Odori".
My article said "Bon Odori will dance with folk music and the beating of a big drum." but I felt little strange because we use these word in Japanese. folk music can say "フォークミュージック" but pronunciation is "folk music" but meaning is "American folk song" because that word is from America!. Also we use drum as "ドラム" and pronunciation is "drum" but meaning is "drum for American music or rock band" so I felt extremely different. I imagined that American plays a guitar, somebody beating drum for rock band and Japanese are dancing next to these people.

It seems stupid but "dance with folk music and the beating of a big drum" is correct expression,,,,,except Japanese

If you go to Japan, you can find 7-ELEVEn anywhere you went because there are more than one-third 7-ELEVEn in Japan.(There are 34,200 7-ELEVEn in the world though more than 12,000 are in Japan.) Of course there is a lot of convenience stores so you can find another convenience store if you walk for 10 second. You may think that is joke but it is true. Here is picture of map that indicate all convenience stores in Tokyo

As you can see, it seems crazy but every red circle are convenience stores. here is a link. You can look around Tokyo that occupied by convenience stores.
I don't know why Japanese likes convenience store but I'm one of these so I like convenience stores.
I think every Japanese thinks that "Time is money" and "Time is heavier than money" so they want to be convenience store everywhere or they don't wait until next train.

By the way, Did you know 7-ELEVEn is official name of 7-ELEVEn. This is because they couldn't registration the name only number like "7-11" in 1927 so they changed the name into "7-ELEVEn"
